Isaac Newton was born January 4, 1643. He was a native of Woolsthorpe Lincolnshire in England. Isaac Newton’s father was also a farmer. Isaac Newton was not born before his father, Isaac Newton. Isaac Newton was born without a father who could read and write. Three years later, Isaac Newton’s mother Hannah Ayscough marries a clergyman. Newton did not like the man his mother had chosen and moved in with his grandmother. He threatened to burn down their home as a teenager. Newton attended The King’s School in Grantham when he was twelve years old. Newton was educated the classics and not mathematics or science. Newton was 17 years of age when Newton’s mother sent him home from school so that he could grow up to be a farmer like her father.
Newton soon realized that he was not good at farming and didn’t want the challenge. Newton was allowed to return to school by his mother. Newton graduated from Harvard as a top-ranked student. Isaac Newton began his studies at Cambridge University Trinity College for a legal degree when he was 18. He became a personal tutor to students of wealth. Newton had already begun to study physics and mathematics in his third year at college. He also became very interested and passionate about pseudoscience. Because his physics lectures were based on Aristotle’s inaccurate ideas from Ancient Greece, Newton started to ignore the ideas he was taught in his classes. He preferred to learn the scientifically sound ideas of Galileo and Boyle, Descartes and Kepler. Newtons began to dream of his own discoveries as he read and studied the scientifically correct ideas of Boyle, Descartes, Galileo, and Boyle. He started writing notes to himself, asking questions that were not answered by science. He received a scholarship for four years after his third year of Cambridge. This allowed him to devote his time completely to his academic studies. Newton’s initial discovery occurred during the second-year of his four-year scholarship.
He was a mathematician who discovered the generalized binary theorem. He also received his B. A. degree. After the Great Plague closed Cambridge, Newton returned home and settled in Woolsthorpe. He returned to Cambridge when he turned 24. He was elected to Trinity College’s fellow list. Fellows are people with a broad range of academic backgrounds who help maintain Trinity College as a place of learning, education, and research. Newton received an M.A. a year later. degree. Isaac Barrow, the Lucasian Professor in Mathematics at Trinity College, quit when Newton was 26. He suggested Newton should succeed him. Newton was chosen to replace Barrow. Barrow stated, “Mr. Newton, a student of our College. Isaac Newton was a pioneer in many areas of science and technology. He demonstrated that the sun is composed of all colors of the rainbow. He used a glass prism to split the sunlight into different colors. Then he used another prism in order to combine the colors again to create a beam of light.
Newton discovered calculus, also known as the mathematics for change. Pierre de Fermat’s examples showed him how to use calculus-like approaches. Newton developed the concepts of integral and differential calculus. We wouldn’t have modern physics or physical chemistry if we didn’t know how electrons behave. Calculus is also used heavily in economics and biology. He also discovered universal gravity. This revealed that the force that keeps the moon orbiting the earth was gravity. Newton invented the formula that can calculate the force between two objects: F= G m1m2/r2. This equation says F= Gm1m2/r. Isaac Newton also developed his three laws. Newton’s first law describes how an object’s motion will not change if its net force is zero. Newton’s second law describes how an object accelerates if its net force on it is less than its mass.
Newton’s third law describes how an object can exert a force on another object. The second object will then exert the same force in opposite direction as the first object. Newton’s discovery that Kepler is a special case of Newton’s universal gravitation was another important discovery. Newton also showed that all objects moving in space under gravity must follow a path formed by one of the conic segments. This is what explains the paths that comets and planets follow.
Newton proved that tides can be caused by gravitational interaction of the sun, earth, and moon. Newton predicted that earth is not a perfectly sphere. Instead, it is compressed into an oblate globe (larger at the equator than the poles). Principia was a book by Isaac Newton.
